About Us

Total Ideal U Psychotherapy and Consulting is in business to help bring the light, healing and beauty of wellness into people’s lives, relationships and communities. When we opened our doors in August 2020, it was with a vision to help others heal and live in an integrated way. That means that we have a total person focus in the work we do rather than simply providing a therapy technique from a “manual” or touting the latest certification to treat a “symptom”. We provide in-person, teletherapy services, clinical supervision, and consulting in the State of Tennessee and teletherapy, clinical supervision, and consulting in the State of California. Services in Mississippi coming soon.

Our services are focused, with well-defined collaborative goals while making room for strengths and areas of improvement and even getting out of one’s comfort zone. Everyone at Total Ideal U from our office manager to our lead therapist is trained to help our clients feel respected, heard and engaged in a safe way in their therapy, supervision or consulting journey. We also have a commitment to innovation and creativity in the therapeutic space to empower our clients to access the innate healing resources and resiliencies they already possess.

Our founder, CEO and lead therapist, Grace Duarte de Baker, LCSW, CCST-I believes deeply that multi-cultural, holistic, integrated, multi-modal pathways of healing and change can help us get to the root of our challenges rather than just alleviate a symptom or a short-term problem. With over fifteen years of education, experience and training, our services are offered to a range of English and Spanish-speaking clients: children, adolescents, adults, families and couples for varied presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment to change/life transitions, stress management, managing mental illness (OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders), trauma and relationships, multi-cultural, racial issues, gender-specific emotional wellness and other concerns that may require therapeutic support.

At Total Ideal U, it’s about ALL of you.
